Role Summary

Senior DFT Engineer responsible for designing and implementing design-for-test (DFT) features at block and SoC levels, and for supporting silicon bring-up and post-silicon diagnosis. The role works closely with synthesis, STA, physical design, and test engineering teams to ensure testability and successful product validation.

Position is fully onsite at the client's San Jose, CA office.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include defining DFT architecture, generating and verifying test vectors, and supporting silicon debug.

• Design and implement DFT features: scan, MBIST, ATPG, JTAG, and post-silicon diagnosis at block and SoC level.
• Generate and verify test patterns using gate-level simulations and ATPG tools.
• Collaborate with synthesis, STA, physical design, and test teams to debug and resolve DFT-related issues.
• Support silicon bring-up, conduct experiments, and analyze data to identify root causes.
• Work with test engineers to validate and bring up test vectors on silicon.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; no formal education requirement specified in the posting.

• Proven experience developing DFT specifications and architectures for complex designs.
• Strong knowledge of scan, ATPG, JTAG, MBIST, and DFT best practices.
• Proficiency with DFT tools such as Siemens Tessent and Synopsys for implementation, vector generation, and verification.
• Experience debugging ATPG patterns, MBIST implementations, and coverage analysis.
• Experience conducting silicon debug and performing data-driven root-cause analysis.
• Efficient scripting skills for automation and flow development (TCL).
