Job Title

Senior DFT Engineer

Role Summary

Lead Design-for-Test (DFT) engineering across a complex ASIC project at Annapurna Labs (part of AWS). The role leads a team of DFT engineers, partners with frontend/backend design teams, and works with silicon, reliability, and physical-failure analysis groups to deliver a testable, reliable, and high-yield product into the AWS fleet.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting expects demonstrated leadership of complex technical projects; specific years of experience are not stated.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include owning DFT strategy, guiding implementation, and driving product bring-up and quality.

  • Lead DFT architecture, planning, and execution for a full-chip project; create work plans and track progress.
  • Participate in architecture and design reviews and define design-for-testability and design-for-debug solutions.
  • Specify design constraints for implementation and perform sign-off for DFT deliverables.
  • Develop and validate structural scan and memory test flows; improve testability, debug ability, reliability, and yield.
  • Coordinate silicon bring-up, reliability testing, and physical failure analysis to resolve manufacturing issues.
  • Collaborate closely with frontend, backend, verification, and manufacturing teams to meet schedule and quality targets.

Requirements

Clear distinction between required (must-have) and preferred (nice-to-have) skills and experience.

  • Must-have:
    • Extensive expertise in semiconductor design and DFT engineering
    • Advanced knowledge of Verilog and SystemVerilog
    • Proficiency in structural scan techniques and flows
    • Deep understanding of memory test and repair methodologies
    • Proven experience leading complex technical projects
  • Nice-to-have:
    • Experience with UVM and verification methodologies
    • Design-for-Debug experience
    • Familiarity with Static Timing Analysis (STA)
    • Experience with 3D testing technologies

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering (as listed under Basic Qualifications).
