Job Title
Senior DFT Designer
Role Summary
Design and verify DFT architectures for mixed-signal and digital SoCs, ensuring robust testability and silicon quality. Work within cross-functional teams including RTL, physical design, verification, product, test and ATE groups to deliver testable, manufacturable designs.
Experience Level
Senior-level. No specific years of experience listed.
Responsibilities
Lead DFT implementation for complex SoCs across the full design flow.
- Define DFT specifications and architectures; implement RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) and synthesis-ready designs.
- Perform scan insertion, test compression integration, ATPG pattern generation and optimization.
- Implement and integrate memory BIST strategies and other built-in test features.
- Perform DFT verification at RTL and gate level and work with STA and physical design for timing closure.
- Support silicon bring-up, ATE test-program development and post-silicon validation/debug.
- Collaborate with digital, analog, mixed-signal, product, test and software teams to meet performance, power, area and quality targets.
- Mentor junior engineers and produce design documentation, specifications and test plans.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and competencies.
- Strong expertise in DFT methodologies: scan, MBIST, LBIST, JTAG.
- Hands-on experience with industry-standard ATPG tools.
- Proficiency with UPF/CPF-based low-power DFT flows.
- Knowledge of common fault models (stuck-at, transition, path delay) and physical-design considerations for DFT insertion.
- Experience with silicon debug and ATE bring-up.
- Hardware description languages: Verilog, SystemVerilog, VHDL.
- Good communication skills in English; strong team orientation and schedule discipline.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in microelectronics, electronic engineering or a related field.
