Senior Developer Relations Engineer (AI)

Role Summary

Work at the intersection of machine learning, systems optimization, and developer experience to enable efficient deployment of AI models on Arm-based devices. Focus on model optimization, runtime integration, full-stack profiling and developer enablement prior to silicon availability.

Collaborate with engineering and product teams and produce technical content (white papers, tutorials, demos) to drive adoption of Arm AI technologies in edge and mobile applications.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Optimize and adapt large AI models for deployment on Arm platforms using techniques such as tiling, quantization, pruning and LoRA/PEFT.
• Profile and analyze performance across the full stack from application to architecture, including pre-silicon evaluation.
• Integrate Arm AI technologies into ML stacks and runtimes to improve model and runtime performance.
• Develop technical guides, benchmarks, tutorials and analysis reports focused on performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to identify SDK, runtime, tooling, or silicon friction points and drive improvements.
• Create demos, talks, blogs, white papers and open-source contributions to support developer adoption.
• Support debugging and performance tuning on devices from mobile (Android) to cloud (Linux/servers).

Requirements

Core skills and experience required and preferred.

Must have:

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills; ability to explain complex technical issues clearly.
• Understanding of neural networks (LLMs, CNNs) and practical experience deploying efficient on-device AI models.
• Hands-on experience with model optimization techniques (tiling, quantization, pruning, LoRA/PEFT).
• Familiarity with ML frameworks and runtimes (PyTorch, LiteRT, TensorRT, Core ML or similar).
• Strong debugging, profiling and analysis skills across full software stacks on Arm-based devices.
• Proficiency in Python and experience with Embedded/C/C++ development.
• Experience producing developer-facing content: guides, benchmarks, tutorials, demos or open-source work.

Nice to have:

• Experience with automotive/robotics applications (Android Automotive, IVI, ADAS).
• Understanding of hardware and system architectures (compute, memory, interconnects, thermal behavior).
• Experience optimizing performance on CPUs, NPUs and accelerators.
• Familiarity with model formats and tooling (ONNX, TFLite) and modern cloud infrastructure (containers, Kubernetes).
