Senior Design Verification Engineer (Hardware)
FuriosaAIJob Title
Senior Design Verification Engineer (Hardware)
Role Summary
Lead block- and system-level verification for high-performance AI accelerator hardware. You'll define verification strategies, implement testbenches and flows, and drive closure of verification metrics to ensure design correctness and quality.
Work closely with Design, Model, Emulation, and Silicon Validation teams to debug issues and support successful tape-outs.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 5+ years of block and system verification experience (SystemVerilog/UVM) as specified in the minimum qualifications.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing verification activities across blocks and full systems.
- Define, plan, and implement block and system verification strategies and metrics.
- Write and review test plans; develop test harnesses, sequences, and automated tests.
- Develop and maintain verification environments and infrastructure; drive closure on functional and code coverage goals.
- Collaborate with RTL designers to debug, root-cause, and resolve functional failures.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Design, Model, Emulation, Silicon Validation) to validate integration and overall design quality.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience required to perform the role; preferred items listed separately.
- 5+ years of block and system-level verification experience using SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies.
- Proven experience with EDA tool flows and common verification tools.
- Proficiency in scripting for verification automation (Python, Perl, Shell).
- Experience architecting and deploying verification infrastructure and running the full verification cycle from planning to closure.
- Demonstrated ability to debug RTL with design teams and close verification issues.
- Nice-to-have: experience developing UVM environments, Python-based verification frameworks (e.g., cocotb), IP/integration verification for high-speed interfaces (PCIe, UCIe, UALink, Ethernet), and verifying ARM/RISC-V subsystems or SoCs.
- Nice-to-have: strong Python programming and clear written/verbal communication skills.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
