Senior Design Verification Engineer, Automotive Robotics

Role Summary

Lead verification efforts for advanced digital designs that power next-generation RISC-V CPUs and AI accelerators. Own verification strategy, build and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM test environments, and ensure designs meet functional, performance, and quality targets.

This is a remote role based in Munich, Germany. You will work with architects, designers, and software teams across product lines and mentor junior engineers.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 10+ years of industry experience in digital design verification; candidates will be assessed and leveled during interview.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and execute comprehensive verification plans for complex digital blocks and SoC-level systems.
  • Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, directed and constrained-random tests, and coverage models.
  • Drive verification methodology, set best practices, and select verification tools and flows.
  • Collaborate with architecture, design, and software teams to align specifications and resolve issues.
  • Mentor and guide junior verification engineers; perform design and verification reviews.
  • Run simulations, analyze results, and close functional and coverage gaps using tools like Questa or VCS.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred qualifications:

  • Must-have: 10+ years in digital design verification with technical leadership experience.
  • Deep expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM and building advanced verification environments.
  • Strong understanding of computer architecture, microarchitecture, and SoC integration.
  • Hands-on experience with simulators and verification tools such as Questa, VCS, or equivalents.
  • Familiarity with formal verification methods.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to lead cross-functional collaboration.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with silicon bring-up, post-silicon validation, chiplet architectures, or AI accelerator verification.
