Job Title

Senior Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Lead verification planning and execution for next-generation automotive connectivity SoCs based on E2B technology. Work with architecture, digital and analog design, firmware, functional safety, and validation teams to ensure verification closure and high-quality silicon.

This role focuses on developing advanced SystemVerilog/UVM environments, firmware-driven tests, C DPI integrations, protocol verification, coverage-driven sign-off, and post-silicon support.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Preferred 4–8 years of relevant digital or mixed-signal IC verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary duties include planning and executing verification activities for complex processor-based SoCs and related subsystems.

  • Define verification strategy and detailed test plans for automotive connectivity SoCs and E2B functionality.
  • Verify SoC components: processors, memories, interconnects, DMA, interrupts, peripherals, communication interfaces, security features, and mixed-signal subsystems.
  • Architect, develop, and maintain scalable SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments (agents, scoreboards, sequences, assertions, coverage).
  • Develop firmware-driven verification scenarios for processor initialization, interrupts, exceptions, memory accesses, and HW–SW interactions.
  • Develop and integrate C/SystemVerilog DPI components and software/reference models into simulations.
  • Verify E2B protocol behavior: data transfer, control/configuration, timing, error handling, diagnostics, and recovery.
  • Define and track functional, code, and assertion coverage; drive verification to closure and sign-off.
  • Debug and resolve complex issues across RTL, testbench, embedded C, and system-level use cases; support post-silicon bring-up and FPGA prototyping.
  • Support functional-safety verification activities, fault-injection campaigns, and requirements traceability for ISO 26262-relevant features.
  • Provide technical mentorship, conduct reviews, and improve verification methodology, automation, and regression infrastructure.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and behaviors required to perform the role.

  • Expert SystemVerilog and UVM experience developing reusable verification environments for complex digital designs.
  • Proven SoC verification experience with embedded processors, memory subsystems, buses, peripherals, and communication blocks.
  • Hands-on C/SystemVerilog DPI development and integration of C models or reference models into verification flows.
  • Strong verification planning skills and experience with constrained-random verification, functional coverage, code coverage, and assertion-based verification.
  • Experience developing firmware-driven tests and debugging HW–SW integration issues.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills across testbenches, RTL, embedded software, and system environments.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, TCL, Perl, shell, or similar) for regression management and workflow automation.
  • Ability to lead verification activities independently, conduct technical reviews, and mentor junior engineers.
  • Willingness to travel up to 10% as required.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with RISC-V or ARM processors and processor concepts (privilege modes, exceptions, caches, debug).
  • Experience with automotive communication technologies, protocol verification, diagnostics, and E2B-related work.
  • Familiarity with ISO 26262 functional-safety verification practices, fault injection, and evidence generation.
  • Experience with emulation, FPGA prototyping, virtual platforms, mixed-signal verification, or formal methods.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field is expected; a Master’s degree is preferred. The role typically requires 4–8 years of relevant verification experience.
