Senior Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for ASIC design verification focused on SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, AXI and NoC/crossbar verification, performance analysis, and coverage closure. The role is part of a verification team working on a client program in a start-up mode with limited documentation and requires on-site presence at the client office.
Experience Level
Senior — typically requires 8+ years of ASIC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Design and maintain scalable SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and verification environments.
- Verify AXI interfaces, NoC/crossbar components and evaluate performance behavior.
- Execute regressions, triage failures, and drive coverage closure.
- Develop and maintain automation and build scripts (Make, Perl, Python).
- Report progress and status to the customer and coordinate verification closure with the team.
- Adapt to program-specific tools, flows, and methodologies in a low-documentation environment.
- Work fully on-site at the client office and travel as requested by client leadership.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes:
- Senior-level ASIC verification experience (8+ years).
- Expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM for scalable verification environments.
- Strong knowledge of AXI protocol and NoC/crossbar architectures; performance analysis experience.
- Experience with regression management, triage, and coverage-driven verification.
- Proficiency with scripting and build tools such as Make, Perl, and Python.
- Ability to work with program-specific/proprietary tools and follow established flows and methodologies.
- Strong communication skills for customer reporting and team collaboration.
- Immediate availability preferred; must be able to work fully on-site in Mountain View, CA.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering plus a minimum of 8 years of ASIC or related experience, or a Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering with at least 8 years of ASIC or related experience.
