Senior Design for Test (DFT) Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for DFT architecture, implementation and verification for ASIC/SoC products. Deliver ATPG patterns and DFT solutions, support silicon bring-up and failure analysis, and maintain DFT flow automation. Work with design, synthesis, timing and test teams and mentor junior engineers.

Senior β 6β8 years of directly related ASIC/SoC DFT experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include:
- Define DFT specifications and architecture for ASIC/SoC projects.
- Implement DFT (scan insertion, compression, on-chip clock control, etc.) using industry tools.
- Develop and maintain DFT flow automation and methodology improvements.
- Generate and deliver high-quality ATPG patterns and coverage analysis.
- Perform pre- and post-silicon verification, gate-level simulation with SDF, and DFT verification.
- Support silicon test bring-up, failure analysis and debug.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, synthesis, timing, manufacturing) to meet test, power and test-time goals.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members.
Requirements
Must-have:
- 6β8 years of directly related ASIC/SoC DFT experience.
- Expert knowledge of DFT architecture and planning.
- Hands-on experience with Tessent DFT tools.
- Strong experience with scan, test compression, at-speed test, MBIST and LBIST.
- Practical experience with scan/compression insertion, on-chip clock control insertion, ATPG and DFT verification.
- Gate-level simulation experience with SDF.
- Silicon test bring-up and failure analysis/debug experience.
- Scripting proficiency in Perl, Python or Tcl.
- Strong written and verbal communication and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Cadence and Synopsys DFT toolsets.
- Familiarity with IEEE 1149/JTAG and static timing analysis.
- Experience with BIST, synthesis and DFT insertion, low-power scan and UPF.
- Willingness to travel up to 10%.
