Role Summary

Join the Solutions Engineering team to design system-on-chip (SoC) solutions and contribute to selected IP development. The role focuses on microarchitecture, RTL implementation, and delivering robust silicon-quality designs using Arm flows and verification practices.

Responsibilities

The engineer will translate specifications into RTL, implement and verify microarchitectures, and exercise designs to locate and fix corner-case issues.

  • Interpret IP specifications and develop RTL implementations.
  • Define and document microarchitecture for IP or subsystems.
  • Implement microarchitecture in RTL following Arm flow and standards.
  • Use flow checks (CDC, LINT, SDC, UPF) to ensure design quality.
  • Run stress and corner-case tests to identify and resolve bugs.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and tools required for the role, plus candidate qualifications that strengthen application.

  • Must-have: Fundamentals of hardware design and verification.
  • Must-have: Hardware description and verification languages, e.g. Verilog, SystemVerilog.
  • Must-have: Proficiency in software programming.
  • Must-have: Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, TCL).
  • Nice-to-have: High-level knowledge of timestamp/time-distribution mechanisms in SoCs.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with formal verification tools and methods.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with RTL and simulators.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with Arm architectures and instruction sets.
