Job Title

Senior Design Engineer

Role Summary

Senior Design Engineer responsible for developing IP and technology components for advanced SoCs. The role owns micro‑architecture, RTL implementation and design quality, and works cross‑functionally with architects, verification and implementation teams.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 5+ years of relevant ASIC/RTL/IP design experience.

Responsibilities

The core responsibilities focus on delivering production‑quality IP, ensuring correctness and performance, and improving design flows.

  • Develop IP and technology components for advanced SoCs.
  • Collaborate with architects to translate architecture specs into detailed micro‑architecture and design specifications.
  • Own micro‑architecture, RTL coding, debugging and design quality checks.
  • Work with verification teams on test plans and debug activities.
  • Improve design methodologies, flows and guidelines.
  • Mentor and support junior engineers to ensure successful project delivery.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required for the role.

  • 5+ years of hands‑on experience in digital hardware/IP or subsystem design.
  • Synthesis and timing analysis expertise.
  • Power management and low‑power design techniques; clock and power domain implementation.
  • Digital hardware design with strong Verilog RTL development skills; experience writing design and micro‑architecture specifications.
  • Familiarity with static checks: lint, CDC, RDC and power checks.
  • Proficiency with scripting (Perl, Python, or similar) for automation and tooling.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with ARM‑based designs or ARM system architectures.
  • Exposure to advanced synthesis checks, functional verification techniques (including X‑propagation, GLS), DFT and physical implementation flows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
