Role Summary
Senior/Staff-level analog design engineer in the NVE Design Engineering Analog group responsible for designing and validating NAND analog and mixed-signal circuits, including ADCs and compute-in-memory (CIM) extensions. Work spans circuit design, simulation, validation, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver manufacturable, testable memory products.

Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include hands-on circuit design, verification, and cross-team integration for NAND memory analog and mixed-signal blocks.
- Design, simulate, optimize, and floorplan NAND analog and mixed-signal circuits, including dual-mode (storage and compute-in-memory) operation.
- Develop and validate high-performance ADC architectures (SAR, pipeline, hybrid) for NAND sensing and mixed-signal interfaces.
- Evaluate design feasibility for accuracy, linearity, latency, power, and device variability across PVT and mismatch corners.
- Perform block- and chip-level simulations using industry simulators to validate functionality and performance.
- Drive circuit verification, optimization, parasitic extraction, and layout planning; guide layout teams as needed.
- Collaborate with Product Engineering, Test, Probe, Process Integration, Assembly, and Marketing to ensure manufacturability, testability, scalability, and quality.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and Python-based EDA utilities to automate design tasks and accelerate workflows.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience, plus preferred capabilities.
- 4+ years of NAND design–relevant industry experience (as stated in posting).
- Proficiency in analog/mixed-signal circuit design (charge pumps, op amps, DACs, ADCs, regulators, bandgaps) with emphasis on ADC design and optimization.
- Strong fundamentals in semiconductor and device physics and familiarity with reliability concerns (CHC, NBTI, stress, snapback) and EM/IR analysis.
- Strong circuit debugging, verification, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with parasitic extraction, layout planning, and guiding layout implementation.
- Strong coding skills in Python; familiarity with Bash/Tcl is a plus. Comfortable with structured data (CSV/JSON/SQLite) and version control.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated teamwork.
Preferred:
- Knowledge of HSPICE, Fast SPICE, Verilog and other analog/digital simulators.
- Familiarity with Cadence tools, LVS/DRC flows.
- Experience with additional scripting languages and Linux/UNIX environments.
Education Requirements
MS in Electrical Engineering required; PhD preferred. The posting also requires 4+ years of NAND design–relevant industry experience. No certifications or explicit "equivalent experience" substitution language was provided.
