Senior Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design analog/mixed-signal and RF circuits for mobile applications, including schematic design, simulation, layout verification and post-silicon characterization. Work across IC block, module and top-level integration to meet performance, yield and reliability targets.
Position is team-oriented and requires coordination with module, test and reliability engineering. Hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office, up to 2 days remote per week.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and validation of analog/mixed-signal and RF blocks for mobile TX controller ICs.
- Design core analog/mixed-signal and RF circuits for mobile applications.
- Port reusable blocks between process nodes and modify designs to meet performance targets for smartphone RF modules.
- Create and review layout for switch drivers, charge pumps, oscillators and related blocks; clear DRC and LVS issues.
- Perform circuit-level simulations (comparators, temperature sensors, eFuse, PA bias DACs, voltage references) and block/top-level simulations.
- Run post-silicon measurements and characterization using lab instruments (oscilloscope, signal generator, etc.).
- Evaluate and benchmark designs for performance and yield; lead designs from concept through production.
- Collaborate with module, test and reliability teams to meet specifications and production goals.
- Mentor interns and new engineers to uphold design standards and workflows.

- Practical experience designing analog and mixed-signal circuits using Cadence tool flow.
- Experience porting circuit blocks across process nodes for RF TX controller ICs.
- Layout experience for switch drivers, charge pumps, oscillators and clearing DRC/LVS issues.
- Circuit simulation experience for comparators, temperature sensors, eFuses, PA bias DACs and voltage references.
- Hands-on post-silicon lab measurement and debugging using oscilloscopes, signal generators and similar equipment.
- Proven ability to lead multi-team design projects from conception to production and to document design and verification work.
- U.S. work authorization required; this position is not eligible for company visa sponsorship.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on analog and mixed-signal circuit design is specified. The posting also requires approximately 6 months of relevant experience or an internship in semiconductor analog/mixed-signal design.
