Senior Debug System Engineer, Datacenter

Role Summary

Join NVIDIA's datacenter product engineering team in Operations to lead failure analysis and debug efforts during Mass Production. You will work on datacenter GPU systems and server-level products to identify root causes of manufacturing and build issues, enable DFx, and deliver corrective actions.

Senior — 12+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Perform failure analysis on GPU baseboards and servers at component, system, and rack levels.
  • Analyze cross-domain failures spanning hardware, firmware, and software and define debug/mitigation strategies.
  • Design and run experiments; collect and analyze data to determine root cause.
  • Enable Design for Test and Manufacturing (DFx) to meet production schedules.
  • Provide timely root-cause analysis and corrective action plans; produce clear, complete reports.
  • Develop debug guides for partner teams and customers.
  • Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, internal engineers, factory personnel, and sales/marketing teams globally.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and professional attributes:

  • Extensive failure analysis or debug experience on motherboards, graphics cards, servers, PCs, or datacenter products.
  • Demonstrated experience enabling DFx requirements for manufacturability and test.
  • Strong skills in one or more areas: hardware, software, component, process, test, or validation.
  • Familiarity with characterization equipment such as oscilloscopes and signal/analyzers.
  • Proven problem-solving mentality, organization, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team; clear written and verbal communication.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
