Job Title

Senior CPU Design Methodology Engineer

Role Summary

Lead the development of system-level methodologies and automation for CPU SoC design and integration. Work with ASIC, physical design, CAD, package, software and DFT teams to enable efficient, scalable chip creation and delivery.

This role focuses on methodology, RTL integration, automation, and front-end design quality to improve the end-to-end chip implementation flow.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically requires 8+ years of chip design experience, with specialization in SoC integration and design automation.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing methodologies and automation and improving front-end quality for SOC projects.

  • Define and develop system-level methodologies and tools to build SoCs efficiently and at scale.
  • Identify inefficiencies in the front-end implementation process and propose practical automation or process improvements.
  • Own front-end design quality checks and reviews; ensure delivery of high-quality RTL to physical design teams.
  • Support RTL integration and verification flows and collaborate across ASIC, PD, CAD, package, software, and DFT teams.
  • Implement and maintain automation using industry-standard scripting and tooling.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • 8+ years in chip design with hands-on experience in SoC integration and design automation.
  • Experience in RTL design (Verilog) and verification (UVM, SystemVerilog).
  • Practical experience with SoC integration flows and design automation tooling.
  • Strong scripting and coding skills (Perl, Python, or similar).
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with synthesis and physical design β€” desirable but not required.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
