Job Title

Senior Component Validation Engineer (f/m/d)

Role Summary

The Senior Component Validation Engineer designs and validates radio-frequency (RF) analog/mixed-signal building blocks for IPs and SoCs. The role focuses on defining test plans, performing transistor-level feasibility and verification, and ensuring RF subsystems meet specifications.

This position is part of the Central Engineering Group, supporting product enablement, custom ASIC work, and foundry enablement across multi-site teams.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting specifies a minimum of approximately 7 years of relevant validation experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include design, verification, and validation of RF/analog components and support for system-level RF characterization.

  • Define, design, and develop complex RF integrated circuits for IPs and SoCs and create RF validation test plans.
  • Perform transistor-level feasibility analysis, floorplanning, and layout guidance for RF circuit architectures.
  • Create testbenches, verify designs, debug to meet specifications, and develop test procedures for prototypes.
  • Review system specifications and design plans to ensure compliance with requirements, codes, and standards.
  • Design and validate radio signal paths and transistor-level implementations for transceivers and RFIC blocks across wireless applications (e.g., 4G/5G, WLAN, Bluetooth, GPS).
  • Apply electromagnetic and communication theory and use RF test equipment for RF system analysis and characterization.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and skills.

  • Minimum ~7 years of experience validating analog/mixed-signal/RF building blocks such as ADCs, DACs, and PLLs.
  • Experience developing measurement automation software and platform firmware for analog/RF IP characterization.
  • Proven ability to verify and debug RF/analog circuits at transistor and system levels.
  • Experience working in multi-site or cross-functional engineering teams and strong communication skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Hands-on experience with 5G/6G cellular system measurements and RF system measurements.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in a relevant field is required (e.g., Electrical Engineering, RF Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics, or related technical discipline). No alternative certification or equivalent-experience clause is specified in the posting.
