Role Summary

Join the core software team building the software integration kit and runtime that connects applications to Synthara's ComputeRAM-enabled hardware. You will design and ship low-level libraries, compiler passes, and a benchmarking pipeline to deliver measurable latency and energy improvements.

Experience Level

Senior — 5+ years of experience in systems, compilers, or embedded software engineering.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on delivering production-quality runtime and compiler support and on establishing reproducible benchmarking and CI for performance regression control.

• Design and implement embedded software libraries and a low-level runtime for ComputeRAM-enabled platforms.
• Develop and maintain compiler infrastructure (MLIR/LLVM passes, code generation, kernels) to lower AI/DSP primitives to hardware primitives.
• Build and maintain a benchmarking and profiling framework with reproducible tests, dashboards, and regression gates.
• Improve build, test, and CI processes so releases are predictable and artifacts are easy to consume.
• Collaborate with hardware, architecture, and customer-facing teams; write specifications and developer-quality documentation and examples.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience required to perform the role:

• 5+ years building low-level software or compilers with shipped production code.
• Strong C++ and Python skills.
• Hands-on experience with embedded systems and compiler design (MLIR/LLVM experience valuable).
• Solid systems fundamentals: memory model and concurrency.
• Ability to read hardware datasheets and work at the HW/SW boundary.
• Demonstrable performance work: profiling, tracing, and optimization on embedded or accelerator targets.
• Clear technical writing and good documentation habits; collaborative working style.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience deploying deep-learning workloads on edge devices; familiarity with TensorFlow Lite for Micro, TVM, or IREE.
• HPC/DSP exposure (DirectML, OpenCL, CUDA) or DSP algorithm implementations.
• CI/CD and packaging experience for developer kits (e.g., GitHub Actions).
• Quantization and fixed-point experience for edge inference.
