Senior Competitor Analyst
Role Summary
Lead competitor analysis and benchmarking for MOSFET power semiconductors to inform product strategy, technology roadmaps and commercial decisions. The role is based in Manchester with hybrid working and requires collaboration with R&D, Product Development and Marketing.
Hands-on position requiring Failure Analysis techniques, data analytics and coordination with third-party labs to deliver teardown reports, cost models and performance comparisons.

Responsibilities
Deliver competitor intelligence, physical teardowns and benchmarking outputs that influence product and technology decisions.
- Perform detailed physical teardowns of competitor MOSFET devices to package and wafer level using FIB, SEM and X‑ray.
- Coordinate electrical performance benchmarking of competitor products versus Nexperia devices.
- Develop, calibrate and refine cost models and provide cost estimates for competitor products and technologies.
- Produce technical reports, dashboards and data visualisations for R&D and Marketing.
- Monitor MOSFET technology trends and competitor activity; deliver quarterly updates and DeepDive inputs.
- Oversee the physical analysis pipeline, including management of third‑party labs and process improvements.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; beneficial skills listed separately.
- Several years' experience in the semiconductor industry or similar.
- Advanced knowledge and hands-on skills in Failure Analysis techniques (FIB, SEM, X‑ray).
- Proficient understanding of semiconductor devices, process flows and manufacturing.
- Advanced level in statistical methods, modelling and database management.
- Experience producing analysis reports, dashboards and visualisations (Excel, Power BI).
- Strong communication skills and ability to present to peers and senior stakeholders.
- Proven collaborator able to engage cross-functional stakeholders.
Nice-to-have
- Coding skills (e.g. Python).
- Familiarity with the power semiconductor business, technologies and portfolios.
Education Requirements
