Job Title

Senior Circuit Design Engineer

Role Summary

Senior circuit-level engineer responsible for transistor-level design, analysis, and implementation of digital and mixed-signal IPs. The role works on silicon correlation, reliability, and hardware security across a global circuits team.

Small paragraph: work contributes to next-generation processors and secure hardware products.

Experience Level

Senior — typically 8+ years of circuit design experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and participate in processor circuits using deep submicron technologies.
  • Collaborate with global circuits and cross-functional teams to improve performance, reliability, and security through transistor-level analysis.
  • Drive design and physical implementation of digital and mixed-signal analog IPs for current/voltage sensing and security attack detection/protection using custom and automated tools.
  • Create and prototype new ideas on test chips and shepherd them into product deployment.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Strong understanding of deep submicron process issues and digital circuit design techniques.
  • Experience with analog and mixed-signal block design (op-amp, comparator, ADC, etc.).
  • Hands-on experience with SPICE simulations (noise, loop stability, AC/DC/transient, Monte Carlo) and transistor-level analysis.
  • Experience with EM/IR analysis and static timing analysis/closure.

Nice-to-have:

  • Design and analysis experience for digital/mixed-signal current and voltage sensors.
  • Exposure to hardware security attacks and detection circuits.
  • Familiarity with RTL, logic synthesis, place-and-route, and DFT concepts.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation (Perl, Tcl, Make, etc.) and prior leadership experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or equivalent practical experience; Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred. Equivalent industry experience accepted.
