Senior Chipset Program Manager

Role Summary

Lead and execute end-to-end program plans for chipset products, driving schedules, budgets, resources, deliverables, and risk mitigation from concept through commercialization. Partner with cross-functional engineering, product, operations, and business teams to ensure on-time delivery and alignment with stakeholder expectations.

Experience Level

Senior level. Preferred 7+ years of program management or related experience; minimum 4+ years required per minimum qualifications.

Responsibilities

Own program execution and reporting across global, cross-functional teams; ensure delivery quality, schedule adherence, and program health.

• Define and maintain program baseline: requirements, schedule, resources, cost, and priorities.
• Manage cross-functional stakeholder expectations and drive consensus on plans and schedules.
• Track program metrics, risks, escalations, mitigation plans, and report trends to leadership.
• Participate in architecture and design reviews; coordinate compliance with design and process checklists.
• Drive pre- and post-silicon debug, test, reliability, production ramp, and customer sampling activities.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and support adoption of best practices.
• Communicate complex technical and program information clearly to multiple audiences, including senior leadership.
• Work independently with minimal supervision to deliver program objectives.

Requirements

Key qualifications and experience required or strongly preferred.

• Must-have: Direct experience in semiconductor development and/or manufacturing (candidates without this will not be considered).
• Must-have: Minimum 4+ years of program management or related work experience.
• Must-have: Experience defining and managing schedules, budgets, resources, risks, and deliverables for complex engineering programs.
• Must-have: Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and stakeholder-management skills; experience interacting with senior leadership.
• Must-have: Ability to work across matrixed organizations and coordinate multiple technical functions (design, test, software, packaging, operations, etc.).
• Must-have: Experience using program management tools (dashboards, Gantt charts) to track program health.

Nice-to-have:

• 3+ years working with digital SoC and/or mixed-signal baseband and/or RF chips in a chip/chipset program management role.
• 7+ years of program management experience (listed as preferred).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is listed as the minimum. A master's degree in Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or related field is preferred. The posting allows completed advanced degrees to substitute for up to two years of work experience (Master's = one year; Doctorate = two years).
