Senior Chip Design Verification Engineer
NVIDIAJob Title
Senior Chip Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Networking Silicon Engineering team to verify front-end design and deliver high-performance, low-power Switch silicon. The role focuses on developing verification components and reference models, simulating and validating chip blocks against specifications, and ensuring targets for power, area, and performance are met.
Experience Level
Senior-level role. Minimum 4+ years of experience in ASIC or software verification is required.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include designing and executing verification plans, building verification infrastructure, and collaborating across functional teams.
- Develop verification components, reference models, and testbenches for Switch silicon front-end blocks.
- Verify and simulate RTL blocks to meet functional and non-functional requirements (power, area, performance).
- Create and execute verification plans, debug failures, and drive closure of coverage and functional issues.
- Collaborate closely with Architecture, Micro-Architecture, and Firmware teams to align implementation and verification.
- Document verification results and provide technical status to the design and verification teams.
Requirements
Technical skills and experience required to perform the role.
- Must-have: 4+ years of ASIC or software verification experience with hands-on simulation and debug.
- Must-have: Experience developing verification components and reference models and running RTL-based simulations focused on power/area/performance trade-offs.
- Must-have: Software or firmware development experience oriented toward RTL.
- Must-have: Strong collaboration and communication skills; ability to work across architecture, micro-architecture, and firmware teams.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with high-speed networking or switch silicon verification.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or another relevant engineering discipline is preferred; equivalent practical experience is acceptable. Completion of programming or logic design coursework is expected.
