Senior Chip Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
The Senior Chip Design Verification Engineer will work on NVIDIA's Network Adapter Silicon team to design and verify high-performance networking chip blocks. You will participate in combined design and verification efforts to ensure blocks meet functional and performance specifications.
The role involves building reference models, running simulations, and coordinating with architecture, micro-architecture, firmware and post-silicon validation teams to deliver low-latency, high-throughput silicon.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 8+ years of professional experience in RTL verification or equivalent industry experience.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include:
- Design and execute verification plans for chip blocks within the Networking silicon group.
- Build reference models and run functional and performance simulations against specifications.
- Integrate verification activities with design, firmware, architecture and post-silicon validation teams.
- Debug and resolve functional and performance issues through the development cycle.
Requirements
Minimum and preferred qualifications.
- Must-have: 8+ years of proven RTL verification experience.
- Must-have: Knowledge of hardware description languages (Verilog/VHDL).
- Must-have: Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to collaborate across multiple engineering groups.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with Specman.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is specified, or equivalent practical experience.
