Senior Chip Design Engineer, Formal Verification
Role Summary
Join NVIDIA's pre-silicon networking design and verification team to develop and apply formal verification techniques that prove correctness of complex switch and GPU logic for data-center and AI infrastructure chips.
Collaborate with design and verification engineers to micro-architect, verify, and deliver high-bandwidth multi-port switch and related chip subsystems using advanced formal tools and methodologies.
Experience Level
Senior — 5+ years relevant chip design or verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include applying formal verification algorithms to prove design correctness and working with pre-silicon teams on next-generation chip designs.
- Develop and apply formal verification methods to prove correctness of complex digital logic.
- Collaborate with pre-silicon design and verification teams on switch and GPU subsystems.
- Debug logical issues and analyze verification results to drive design fixes.
- Contribute to verification planning, tool development, and methodological improvements.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills.
- 5+ years of relevant experience in chip design, verification, or formal verification.
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills; strong debugging and problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work cross-functionally.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on formal verification experience.
- Knowledge of digital logic and hardware design methodologies.
- Proven teamwork and collaboration on complex chip projects.
Education Requirements
BSc in Electrical or Computer Engineering or MSc in Mathematics.
