Senior Chip Design Engineer
Role Summary
Join the Networking Silicon team to design and implement high-performance network adapter chips. The role combines micro-architecture, RTL implementation and collaboration with backend and validation teams to deliver silicon that meets throughput, latency, timing, area and power targets.
Experience Level
Senior-level - typically 5+ years of relevant RTL/chip design experience.
Responsibilities
Design, implement and shepherd chip blocks from micro-architecture through implementation and validation.
- Define micro-architecture and implement RTL for assigned blocks meeting performance, timing, area and power goals.
- Collaborate with architecture, verification, firmware and post-silicon validation teams.
- Drive designs through synthesis, timing closure, lint/CDC checks and physical design constraints with backend teams.
- Participate in design reviews, trade-off analysis and performance optimization.

- 5+ years of proven RTL design experience.
- Strong knowledge of HDL (Verilog/SystemVerilog/VHDL).
- Solid understanding of digital design fundamentals: pipelining, clock domain crossing, arbitration, and low-power techniques.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with synthesis and static timing analysis.
- Experience with backend implementation flows and physical design constraints.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
