Senior C++ Software Engineer

Role Summary

Senior software engineer responsible for designing and implementing high-performance C++ software for semiconductor equipment, focusing on distributed systems running on Linux. The role sits in the Optical Diagnostics and Control (ODC) / Process Diagnostics and Control (PDC) group in Rehovot and supports development of next-generation inspection and diagnostics products.

Experience Level

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include system design, implementation, and ensuring product performance and scalability.

• Initiate, design and develop software components for the next high-end processing product.
• Make technical decisions to ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of applications.
• Develop, debug and maintain production-quality C++ code in a Linux environment.
• Create software documentation and test procedures; troubleshoot issues reported during development and validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet product requirements and deliver launches.

Requirements

Essential technical skills and experience required for the role (education listed separately).

• 6+ years of hands-on C++ development experience.
• Proven ability to design and implement complex software architectures.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and debugging skills.
• Good collaboration and teamwork skills; able to work effectively with engineers and stakeholders.

• Linux development experience and familiarity with Docker containers.
• Proficiency in Python.

Education Requirements
