Job Title
Senior Bring-up Methodology Lead
Role Summary
Senior engineer on the NVIDIA Silicon Codesign Group HW bring-up methodology team responsible for planning and executing new chip bring-up from pre-silicon through production. The role coordinates cross-functional teams (Architecture, Build, Validation, DFT, Software, Systems, and Operations) to establish repeatable methodologies, schedules, and logistics that enable successful NPI and production ramps.
This role focuses on end-to-end readiness: defining workflows and checklists, driving on-time execution, capturing post-action learnings, and translating them into process improvements for future silicon.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 10+ years leading complex, multi-site technical programs in semiconductor, SoC, or system/platform development.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include planning, coordination, process definition, and execution oversight for silicon bring-up and production readiness.
- Lead end-to-end planning and on-time execution of chip bring-up from pre-silicon through production deployment.
- Coordinate multi-functional teams across Architecture, Build, Validation, DFT, Software, Systems, and Operations to drive shared bring-up goals.
- Improve cross-team communication, handoffs, and workflows to reduce delays and defects.
- Develop and standardize methodologies, playbooks, and reusable checklists for silicon bring-up.
- Manage scheduling, equipment, and material logistics to support NPI and production schedules.
- Lead post-action reviews and convert findings into concrete process improvements.
- Capture post-silicon learnings and feed them back into architecture, design, and pre-silicon validation.
- Serve as the central point of contact for bring-up status, risks, and mitigations for leadership.
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership capabilities for immediate impact.
- 10+ years leading complex, multi-site technical programs in semiconductor, SoC, or system/platform development.
- Proven ability to influence decisions and lead multi-functional teams in fast-paced, technical environments.
- Demonstrated background in silicon or system bring-up and readiness activities.
- Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and tactical execution skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; able to align diverse collaborators and drive timely decisions.
Nice-to-have:
- Hands-on experience with first-silicon bring-up, post-silicon validation, or silicon debug for complex chips or systems.
- Experience driving transitions from NPI to high-volume manufacturing, including readiness criteria and ramp optimization.
- Familiarity with lab operations, validation infrastructure, and common hardware bring-up tools.
Education Requirements
MS in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
