Job Title

Senior ATE Hardware Engineer

Role Summary

Design ATE production loadboards and evaluation boards used for production testing and characterization of NVIDIA products. Work with test engineers, signal-integrity and power-integrity teams, vendors, and cross-functional engineering groups to implement effective test solutions and resolve fabrication and assembly issues.

Senior β€” 8+ years of relevant ATE board design experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing and delivering test hardware and collaborating across teams to ensure manufacturable, high-performance test solutions.

  • Design ATE production loadboards and evaluation/characterization boards.
  • Collaborate with test engineers and vendors to resolve component, fabrication, and assembly issues.
  • Work with SI/PI teams to improve high-frequency signal performance on boards.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams (design, SI, high-speed characterization, DFT, ATE) to implement test solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends and participate in technical conferences as needed.

Requirements

  • Must-have: 8+ years of ATE board design experience.
  • Must-have: Experience working with SI/PI teams to improve performance of high-frequency signals.
  • Must-have: Proficiency with Excel and working knowledge of Cadence Allegro, SPICE, PCB impedance calculation, and Perl.
  • Must-have: Strong debugging, analytical, and technical writing skills; good communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Advantest 93k board design.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with SI/PI simulation flows and related tools.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with multilayer PCBs and complex high-speed digital routing; proven ability to drive projects to qualified design on schedule.

Education Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or higher with a focus on RF/communications, or equivalent practical experience.
