Job Title

Senior ATE Hardware Engineer

Role Summary

Design and deliver ATE production loadboards and characterization/evaluation boards for GPU, Tegra, and automotive products. Work on the ATE test platform to enable production testing and device characterization.

Collaborate with test engineers, SI/PI teams, vendors, and cross-functional engineering groups to resolve fabrication and assembly issues, improve test coverage, and reduce production cost.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 8+ years of relevant experience in ATE board design.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include designing boards for production and characterization, resolving manufacturing issues, and participating in cross-functional test and design activities.

  • Design ATE production loadboards and evaluation/characterization boards.
  • Work closely with test engineers and vendors to resolve component, fabrication, and assembly issues.
  • Collaborate with SI/PI, high-speed characterization, DFT, and ATE test teams to implement effective test solutions.
  • Participate in industry conferences and monitor trends relevant to ATE and PCB design.
  • Drive projects to completion and deliver qualified designs on schedule.

Requirements

Core technical skills and experience required; separated into must-have and nice-to-have where available.

Must-have:

  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in ATE board design.
  • Experience working with SI/PI teams to improve high-frequency signal performance.
  • Proficiency with Cadence Allegro, SPICE, PCB impedance calculators, and Excel; scripting experience (Perl) is expected.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and technical writing skills.
  • Effective communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with Advantest 93k board design.
  • Familiarity with SI/PI simulation flows and tools.
  • Experience with multilayer PCBs and complex high-speed digital routing.

Education Requirements

BSEE or higher (focus on RF/communications) or equivalent practical experience. The posting allows equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
