Job Title

Senior ASIC Verification Engineer — Coherent High-Speed Interconnect

Role Summary

Responsible for functional verification of high-speed coherent interconnect IP used in NVIDIA SoCs and GPUs. The role focuses on verification architecture, micro-architecture validation, golden models, and infrastructure development within a cross-functional verification team.

Works closely with architects, RTL designers, emulation, and silicon teams to ensure correctness and deliver high-performance interconnects.

Experience Level

Senior level; requires 3+ years of relevant verification experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include verifying architecture and implementation, building verification infrastructure, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.

  • Define verification scope and develop test and coverage plans for interconnect IP.
  • Design and implement verification infrastructure: testbenches, BFMs, monitors, and checkers.
  • Develop and execute randomized and directed tests using functional coverage and assertion-based verification.
  • Create and validate golden models and perform micro-architecture verification.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, emulation, and silicon verification teams to investigate and resolve issues.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team processes and documentation.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools experience, and interpersonal abilities.

  • 3+ years of ASIC verification experience (unit-level and system-level).
  • Experience architecting testbench environments and developing UVM/SystemVerilog testbenches from scratch.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM; experience with assertion-based verification and functional coverage.
  • C++ programming and scripting skills.
  • Experience with simulation and debug tools (e.g., VCS, Debussy, GDB) and emulation workflows.
  • Prior experience with coherent high-speed interconnect design or verification; familiarity with protocols such as PCIe, CXL, or CHI.
  • Strong debugging, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree, or equivalent practical experience. (No specific fields or certifications were specified.)
