Job Title

Senior ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Work on ASIC verification for NVIDIA SoCs and GPUs, focusing on backbone IP for ARM-based system-on-chip designs. The role sits on the ASIC Verification team and collaborates with architects, designers, and pre- and post-silicon validation groups to ensure first-pass silicon success.

This is a technical engineering role with responsibility for verification strategy, infrastructure, and execution for complex SoC and IP blocks.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 8+ years of ASIC verification experience at IP and SoC level.

Responsibilities

The role leads verification activities, builds verification infrastructure, and drives coverage closure.

  • Lead verification of ASIC designs, architectures, golden models, and micro-architecture using UVM and structured methodologies.
  • Define verification scope, develop test plans, and build robust verification infrastructure and testbenches.
  • Implement constrained-random and directed tests, functional and code coverage, and assertion-based checks (SVA).
  • Develop architectural golden models and hardware–software co-verification tests in C/C++.
  • Integrate AI/LLM-driven workflows to improve test generation, debug productivity, and coverage closure.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, implementation, and post-silicon teams to reproduce and resolve SoC-level corner cases.
  • Automate build flows and regressions with scripting and toolchain integration.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for immediate contribution.

  • 8+ years of ASIC verification experience at IP and SoC levels.
  • Proven experience building UVM testbenches and applying constrained-random methodology in production environments.
  • High proficiency in C/C++ for golden models and co-verification tests.
  • Deep domain knowledge of Low-Speed I/Os (QSPI, UART, I2C), AXI/APB interconnects, DMA controllers, and memory controllers.
  • Expertise in assertion-based checks (SVA), code coverage, functional coverage, and writing formal test plans.
  • Strong debugging and analytical skills for complex SoC corner-case resolution.
  • Professional scripting skills in Python, Perl, or TCL to automate builds and regressions.
  • Experience with version control and testbench build flows (Perforce, Makefiles) is beneficial.
  • Familiarity with large-scale SoC verification and advanced UVM architecture is a plus.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree (BS) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience is required or acceptable; advanced degrees (MS, PhD) are listed as a plus.
