Job Title

Senior ASIC Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Senior verification engineer on the NVIDIA AI ASIC team focused on the Memory Management Unit (MMU). Responsible for defining verification scope, developing verification infrastructure, implementing test and coverage plans, and verifying design correctness for GPU ASICs.

Work cross-functionally with architects, designers, and software engineers to deliver robust verification and advance testbench methodology.

Senior β€” guidance: 5+ years of relevant work or research experience.

Responsibilities

Primary verification duties for the MMU and related subsystems.

  • Define verification scope and acceptance criteria for MMU features.
  • Design and implement verification infrastructure: testbenches, BFMs, checkers, monitors, scoreboards.
  • Create and execute test plans and coverage plans; drive coverage closure.
  • Develop reusable verification components and advance methodology for the team.
  • Collaborate with architects, RTL designers, and software engineers across sites to resolve issues.
  • Debug functional failures and support root-cause analysis

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Exposure to computer architecture, ASIC design, and verification methodology.
  • Strong practical experience with SystemVerilog and C and/or C++.
  • Experience with constrained-random testing, functional coverage, and assertion-based verification.
  • Familiarity with simulation and debug tools such as VCS, IES, Debussy, and GDB.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming concepts and test planning.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of memory subsystem micro-architecture, cache topologies/policies, memory management, interconnects, or arbiters.
  • Experience with UVM, SystemVerilog scoreboards/checkers, semiformal verification (SFV), or assertion-heavy flows.
  • Scripting experience (Python or Perl).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Base salary ranges (location- and level-dependent): USD 136,000 - 218,500 (Level 3); USD 168,000 - 264,500 (Level 4). You will also be eligible for equity and benefits. Applications accepted at least until 2026-06-12.
