Job Title

Senior ASIC RTL Engineer

Role Summary

Join the Silicon One hardware team to design RTL for high-performance networking ASICs. Focus on delivering robust Design for Test (DFT) RTL while collaborating with front-end RTL, backend physical design, and architecture teams.

Experience Level

Senior-level; requires at least 8 years of relevant ASIC/RTL engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing DFT-capable RTL, ensuring design quality, and working across teams to deliver silicon on schedule.

  • Design and implement high-quality DFT RTL for ASIC projects.
  • Collaborate with front-end RTL designers, backend physical designers, and architects to align on chip architecture and implementation details.
  • Develop and maintain RTL coding standards and participate in design reviews.
  • Support RTL verification using simulators, linting, CDC checking, synthesis flows, and formal verification where applicable.
  • Work on interface and memory-related RTL (AMBA protocols, JTAG, memory controllers) and ensure correct integration.
  • Participate in post-silicon debug and validation activities when required.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and relevant hands-on experience. Education and formal degree requirements are listed separately under Education Requirements.

  • Proven expertise in Verilog/SystemVerilog RTL coding and design practices.
  • Hands-on experience with front-end toolflow: simulators, linting, CDC checkers, synthesis, and formal verification tools.
  • Practical experience with AMBA interfaces (AXI, APB, AHB), JTAG, and memory design/verification.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and clear technical communication skills.
  • Preferred: experience with DFT/MBIST, power intent (UPF), power optimization and estimation, and post-silicon debug.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering required. The posting specifies a minimum of 8 years of related industry experience. No specific certifications are required or listed.
