Senior ASIC RTL Engineer
Role Summary
Member of Cisco's Silicon One development organization responsible for delivering high-quality Design-for-Test (DFT) RTL for advanced networking silicon. Collaborates with front-end RTL, back-end physical design, and cross-functional teams to ensure robust, testable silicon that meets performance targets.
Experience Level
Senior-level role. Candidates should have at least 7 years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Contribute to RTL design and testability for production silicon within a cross-functional hardware development team.
- Collaborate with front-end RTL and back-end physical design teams to understand chip architecture and constraints.
- Design, implement, and verify Design-for-Test (DFT) RTL and test structures.
- Ensure designs meet Cisco performance, reliability, and testability standards.
- Participate in cross-functional design reviews and integration activities.
- Support silicon bring-up and provide input for post-silicon debug when required.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience required or preferred.
- Must-have: 7+ years of experience in ASIC RTL design and verification.
- Must-have: Proficiency in Verilog/SystemVerilog coding and RTL design methodologies.
- Must-have: Experience with front-end EDA tools: simulation, linting, CDC checkers, synthesis, and formal verification.
- Must-have: Familiarity with common interface protocols (AMBA, JTAG) and memory interfaces.
- Must-have: Knowledge of power intent and optimization techniques (UPF).
- Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with DFT/MBIST and post-silicon debug.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
