Job Title

Senior ASIC DFT Engineer

Role Summary

Senior hands-on role owning DFT architecture and implementation for a new family of AI accelerator chips. You will define DFT strategy, implement test infrastructure, and improve team methodologies across design, verification, and silicon bring-up.

Work in a small, agile team with opportunity to influence technical direction and adopt AI tools in the DFT flow.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically requires 6+ years of hands-on DFT experience.

Responsibilities

Lead design and delivery of DFT capabilities for complex AI acceleration IP and subsystems.

  • Define DFT architecture and strategy, balancing test coverage, area, timing, and power.
  • Implement scan insertion, compression, boundary scan (JTAG), MBIST, and test access/control.
  • Lead ATPG and pattern generation and drive fault coverage closure to sign-off.
  • Develop and improve DFT methodologies and team workflows.
  • Champion the use of AI tools across the DFT flow and help the team adopt them effectively.
  • Collaborate with design, verification, physical design, and product/test engineering and support silicon bring-up, debug, and yield/quality analysis.

Requirements

Must-have:

  • 6+ years of hands-on DFT experience with a track record of delivering DFT solutions from architecture through silicon bring-up.
  • Deep command of core DFT techniques: scan insertion, compression, ATPG, boundary scan (JTAG), and MBIST.
  • Practical experience using AI tools to advance verification/DFT workflows.
  • Proven ownership of complex DFT solutions and ability to drive technical decisions across cross-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • DFT on large, high-performance, or AI/ML accelerator designs.
  • Hierarchical DFT, low-power test, in-system test, or silicon debug/bring-up experience.
  • Familiarity with the broader development cycle including design, verification, and physical design.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
