Job Title

Senior ASIC Design Verification Infrastructure and Tools Engineer – GPU

Role Summary

Build and operate verification, integration, and automation systems that qualify and deliver large ASIC IP blocks for GPU products. The role focuses on CI, build and simulation flows, pre-submit qualification, metrics, and reliability across distributed compute and verification environments.

Experience Level

Senior — 5+ years of relevant industry experience (as stated in the posting).

Responsibilities

Ownership of automation and infrastructure to make ASIC integration, verification, and qualification faster, more reliable, and easier to debug.

  • Design and improve high-speed IO integration, build, simulation, and pre-submit qualification flows for large ASIC IP.
  • Improve CI reliability, turnaround time, debuggability, and scalability across distributed compute environments.
  • Implement automation to eliminate recurring integration and qualification issues.
  • Perform root-cause analysis of failures across verification, build systems, tools, firmware, and compute infrastructure.
  • Define, publish, and use metrics for integration latency, flow health, failure trends, and engineering efficiency.
  • Use metrics to guide priorities, forecast risk, and optimize systems.
  • Collaborate with ASIC designers, verification, firmware, methodology, and infrastructure teams.
  • Apply practical AI workflows where useful (debug assistance, run triage, summarization, documentation, automation).
  • Investigate unfamiliar technical areas and drive ambiguous problems to closure.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools experience, and working habits.

  • 5+ years of relevant industry experience in ASIC design or verification infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of ASIC development workflows: builds, simulation, regressions, debug, integration, and qualification.
  • Experience with verification methodology such as UVM or equivalent.
  • Proficient in Verilog/SystemVerilog with RTL development or pre-silicon verification/debug experience.
  • Familiarity with industry simulation and debug tools (VCS, Verdi, Xcelium, or similar).
  • Strong programming and scripting skills (Python, Perl, or similar).
  • Experience with SystemVerilog and object-oriented verification environments.
  • Strong root-cause analysis skills for intermittent or hard-to-isolate infrastructure failures.
  • Self-directed execution and ability to investigate cross-domain problems and deliver solutions.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
