Job Title
Senior ASIC Design Verification Infrastructure and Tools Engineer — GPU
Role Summary
Advance systems that qualify, integrate, and deliver complex ASIC IP across multiple GPU products. Work on high-speed I/O integration, pre-submit qualification, CI, metrics, automation, and debug workflows to improve reliability and engineering efficiency.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 5+ years of relevant industry experience.
Responsibilities
Deliver and maintain infrastructure, automation, and tools that accelerate ASIC integration and verification.
- Apply practical AI workflows to debugging, run triage, summarization, documentation, and workflow automation.
- Build and improve high-speed I/O integration, build, simulation, and pre-submit qualification flows for large ASIC IP development.
- Improve CI reliability, turnaround time, debuggability, and scalability across distributed compute environments.
- Root-cause complex failures across verification, build systems, tools, infrastructure, and compute environments.
- Automate recurring integration or qualification problems and implement durable process improvements.
- Define, publish, and use metrics for integration latency, flow health, failure trends, and engineering efficiency.
- Use metrics to guide priorities, forecast risk, and optimize operational systems.
- Collaborate with ASIC designers, verification engineers, firmware teams, methodology teams, and infrastructure partners.
- Investigate unfamiliar technical areas and drive ambiguous problems to closure.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 5+ years of relevant industry experience in ASIC development or verification infrastructure.
- Strong understanding of ASIC development workflows: builds, simulation, regressions, debug, integration, and qualification.
- Experience with verification methodology such as UVM or similar.
- Strong working knowledge of Verilog/SystemVerilog and pre-silicon verification/debug.
- Exposure to industry simulation and debug tools (e.g. VCS, Verdi, Xcelium) or similar.
- Strong programming/scripting skills (Python, Perl, or similar).
- Experience with SystemVerilog object-oriented verification environments.
- Strong root-cause analysis skills for intermittent or hard-to-isolate infrastructure failures.
- Self-directed execution: ability to investigate across domains and deliver solutions for loosely defined problems.
Nice-to-have:
- Practical experience applying AI tools to engineering workflows (debug automation, summarization, tool-assisted development).
- Passion for infrastructure, automation, and driving cross-domain efficiency gains.
- Experience providing ASIC IP for multiple products or SoCs simultaneously.
- Strong habits around defining and using data-driven metrics.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience.
