Role Summary

Join a compact ASIC IP team focused on hardware IP for the Snapdragon DSP Neural Processing Unit (NPU) that accelerates AI/ML, video, and DSP workloads. The team includes architects, design, and verification engineers responsible for design, verification, and product evaluation.

This role verifies complex IP blocks, improves verification architecture and methodology, and collaborates with design to close functional and coverage gaps.

Experience Level

Multiple levels: hiring from new graduates up to Senior/Staff. Senior-level contributors typically have 2+ years of direct ASIC verification experience; junior/new-grad roles may accept coursework, co-op, or internship DV experience. Responsibilities

Work with the design and verification teams to validate complex ASIC IP using modern verification methodologies.

• Develop and execute verification plans using UVM and coverage-driven, constrained-random techniques.
• Write SystemVerilog tests, functional coverage, and assertions.
• Modify and extend testbench components (scoreboards, agents, sequences) to verify new features.
• Debug design and verification issues; triage regression failures and maintain regression suites.
• Contribute to testbench architecture, testplan implementation, and verification methodology improvements.
• Support integration testing and performance testing of the design.

Requirements

• Must-have: experience with ASIC verification using UVM, SystemVerilog, assertions, and functional coverage.
• Must-have: experience writing tests and maintaining regressions; strong debug and problem-solving skills.
• Must-have: scripting experience (Python, C-shell or similar) for testbench automation and flow maintenance.
• Must-have: effective communication and teamwork skills.
• New graduates: some design or DV experience via work, co-op, or coursework is acceptable.
• Nice-to-have: experience with DSP/AI processor IP, SoC integration, performance testing, and advanced verification methodologies.

Qualifications include degree-based pathways: Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Science, Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
