Senior ASIC Design Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Member of Micron's ASIC Design Verification team responsible for developing and owning verification environments for complex SoC designs used in next-generation memory products. The role focuses on simulation-based verification, integration with design and post-silicon validation teams, and improving verification quality and productivity.
Experience Level
Senior; posting indicates 3+ years of proven IP or SoC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include ownership of verification environments, execution of verification plans, and close collaboration with design and validation teams.
- Design, develop, and maintain UVM-based SystemVerilog verification environments.
- Build and extend Python-based testbenches and simulation infrastructure.
- Define and execute block- and system-level verification plans; drive coverage closure.
- Debug complex functional and integration issues with design and validation teams.
- Take end-to-end ownership of verification environments and delivery quality.
- Adopt and evaluate AI-assisted techniques and tools to improve verification productivity and debug efficiency.
- Communicate status and technical issues clearly to cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
- 3+ years of IP or SoC verification experience.
- Hands-on experience with UVM and constrained-random verification methodologies.
- Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and Python.
- Proven analytical and debugging skills; experience debugging complex issues in simulation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication and teamwork skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Nice-to-have skills that improve fit for this role.
- Experience with mixed-signal verification.
- Familiarity with DRAM protocols (DDR, LPDDR, GDDR).
- Experience using or evaluating AI-assisted development, verification, or debug tools.
- Interest or experience applying AI/ML to verification flows, automation, or productivity improvements.
- Experience working in fast-paced, collaborative engineering environments.
