Senior ASIC Design Engineer - Memory Subsystem
Role Summary
Join the Memory Subsystem team to design micro-architecture and RTL for SOC memory interconnects, ordering controllers and memory accelerators. Deliver synthesizable RTL and collaborate with architects, design verification, formal verification, and physical design teams to meet area, latency, power, bandwidth and QoS targets.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 5+ years of relevant ASIC/RTL design experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Define micro-architecture and implement RTL for memory subsystem components and interconnect logic.
- Develop and maintain synthesizable Verilog or VHDL code.
- Perform synthesis and timing analysis and work with CAD tools toward timing closure.
- Collaborate across architects, design verification, formal verification, and physical design teams.
- Design for multi-clock-domain and asynchronous interfaces when required.
- Optimize designs for area, power, latency, bandwidth, and quality of service.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred skills:
- 5+ years of ASIC/RTL design experience focused on complex subsystems and SOC integration.
- Strong proficiency in Verilog or VHDL.
- Experience with synthesis flows and static timing analysis.
- Scripting experience (Perl or similar) for automation and tooling.
- Nice-to-have: experience with high-speed coherent interconnects, protocol bridges, hardware-managed coherency, and system-level caches.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with industry specs such as CHI, CXL, PCIe and with multi-clock-domain/asynchronous interface design.
Education Requirements
BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field - or equivalent practical experience.
