Senior ASIC Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement digital subsystems for GPUs and SoCs at NVIDIA, owning micro-architecture, RTL development, and verification through silicon bring-up. The role works within a cross-functional team of architects, designers, and verification engineers to deliver synthesis- and timing-clean modules.
This position impacts products across graphics, AI, and automotive domains by contributing to high-performance silicon subsystems.

Responsibilities
Primary engineering responsibilities for this role include architecture, RTL implementation, verification support, and post-silicon activities.
- Implement GPU subsystem modules as part of the design team.
- Make architectural trade-offs considering features, performance, and system constraints.
- Own micro-architecture and deliver RTL that is verified and synthesis/timing clean.
- Support post-silicon validation and bring-up efforts.
- Collaborate with architects, designers, and verification teams to meet project goals.
Requirements
Required technical skills and experience; items listed as "Nice-to-have" are optional.
Must-have- 8+ years of ASIC design and development experience.
- Experience in micro-architecture and RTL development using Verilog.
- Familiarity with digital systems, VLSI design, computer architecture, and CMOS circuits.
- Understanding of the ASIC design flow including RTL design, verification, and timing analysis.
- Strong debugging, analytical, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Experience with arbiters, scheduling, synchronization, and bus protocols.
- Knowledge of PCI-Express (Gen3+) or CXL protocols.
- Proficiency in scripting/programming (Python, Perl, C/C++).
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering is listed; equivalent practical experience is explicitly accepted. (No other degrees, fields, or certifications are specified.)
