Senior Architect, Technical Product Management – Timing Signoff
Role Summary
Lead technical product management for the Timing Signoff product line, owning roadmap, customer engagement, and technology definition for static timing analysis (STA), multidie signoff, and constraints management.
Work cross-functionally with engineering, sales, application teams, foundries, and strategic customers to translate market needs into product requirements and drive adoption.
Experience Level
Senior-level; requires 20+ years of relevant experience in technical field/product support or technical product management, ideally in EDA or the semiconductor industry.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include customer engagement, roadmap definition, and technical leadership:
- Engage directly with customers to capture requirements, anticipate market shifts, and produce Marketing Requirements Documents (MRDs).
- Collaborate with product managers and engineering to define new technologies, flows, and product features.
- Assimilate customer requirements, technology trends, and competitive intelligence to shape product roadmaps.
- Create customer-facing technical materials, presentations, and thought-leadership collateral.
- Conduct comparative product studies and analyze wins and losses to improve offerings.
- Facilitate field communication, training, and beta programs to accelerate adoption.
- Lead technical discussions with standards bodies, foundry partners, and ecosystem collaborators.
- Represent Synopsys externally as a recognized expert in timing signoff.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Deep expertise in static timing analysis (STA), multidie signoff, and constraints management.
- Proven experience in signoff, digital design/implementation, or verification domains.
- Demonstrated ability to negotiate, influence, and lead in a matrixed organization.
- Exceptional written, verbal, presentation, and public-speaking skills; strong customer-facing experience.
- Ability to produce technical collateral, run comparative analyses, and translate customer needs into actionable product features.
- Experience collaborating with sales, engineering, application engineering, foundries, and ecosystem partners.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with multidie flows and timing signoff at advanced process nodes.
- Proven track record of thought leadership such as articles, white papers, and industry presentations.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BS EE) or equivalent technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
