Job Title

Senior Architect, Simulation Kernel Modelling

Role Summary

Design and deliver modeling and simulation infrastructure for GPU and SoC architectures. The role builds tools, libraries, and environments to enable architecture and engineering teams to model, simulate, validate, and verify hardware features.

Work within a distributed engineering organization to provide robust simulation kernels and support teams that implement feature models.

Experience Level

Senior β€” requires extensive industry experience (posting specifies 12+ years). Suitable for experienced architects and technical leads.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include designing, implementing, and supporting simulation infrastructure and guiding other teams in its use.

  • Develop tools, libraries, and environments for modeling and simulating next-generation chip architectures.
  • Support architecture and engineering teams to build models on the simulation environment.
  • Implement solutions to complex modelling problems using SystemC, C++, and architecture knowledge.
  • Guide and influence teams modeling GPU features to leverage the environment effectively.
  • Document, build, and maintain tools for analysis, simulation, validation, and verification of models.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools, and experience; followed by concise nice-to-have items.

  • 12+ years of relevant industry experience (as stated in posting).
  • Strong programming skills in C++ and C; familiarity with build systems (CMake, make) and toolchains (GCC, MSVC).
  • Experience with SystemC and Transaction Level Modeling (TLM) for architecture modeling.
  • Familiarity with common scripting and automation tools such as Python and Perl.
  • Experience with CI/container tooling such as Jenkins and Docker.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills for distributed team collaboration.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience developing simulation models for major chip projects or within EDA/chip industries.
  • Familiarity with simulation and modelling tools from major EDA vendors.
  • Experience collaborating across time zones and distributed teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field β€” or equivalent practical experience (posting explicitly allows equivalent experience).
