Senior Architect, GPU and SoC Modelling
Role Summary
The NVIDIA Architecture Modelling group seeks a Senior Architect for GPUs and SoCs. This role involves working with world-class architects to model, analyze, and validate chip architectures and features, enhancing performance and efficiency in high-performance computing.
Experience Level
Senior level, requiring 8+ years of relevant work experience or an MS with 5+ years of experience, or a PhD with 2+ years of experience.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities include:
- Modeling and analyzing graphics and/or SoC algorithms and features.
- Documenting and developing tools to analyze and simulate models.
- Developing tests, test plans, and testing infrastructure for new architectures/features.
- Mentoring younger engineers and promoting good coding practices.
- Exploring new modeling techniques and driving change in methodologies.
- Assisting in the development of AI-based tools to enhance efficiency.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Strong programming skills in C++ and C, with knowledge of build systems and toolchains.
- Background in Computer Architecture with modeling experience.
- Familiarity with Docker, Jenkins, Python, and Perl.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills in a distributed team environment.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Engineering is required.
