Job Title

Senior Applications Engineer

Role Summary

Perform system-level characterization, failure analysis, validation, and qualification of DRAM products. Work with internal teams (Systems Compatibility, Application Engineering, Product Engineering, RMA) and external customers and system enablers to develop and execute test strategies, analyze results, troubleshoot failures, and deliver technical recommendations.

Experience Level

Senior level — requires substantial hands-on experience; posting specifies 5 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing system tests, analyzing results, and leading product qualifications.

  • Design and run stress tests and experiments on DRAM products; develop test plans and validation strategies.
  • Analyze and interpret test data; debug failures and perform root-cause analysis and failure analysis at the computer/system level.
  • Develop and maintain custom tools and automation for system-level testing and memory diagnostics.
  • Use lab and system equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, signal generators, multimeters, motherboards) to collect and validate data.
  • Collaborate with Systems Compatibility Group, Application Engineering, Product Engineering, RMA, and external system enablers.
  • Lead product qualification activities and communicate technical results to internal stakeholders and external customers.

Requirements

Education Requirements
