Senior Application Engineer - Tessent Design for Test (DFT)

Role Summary

Work with sales and field technical teams to lead and execute technical engagements that support sales campaigns for Siemens EDA Tessent DFT products. Drive customer adoption by defining methodologies, integrations, pilot projects, and providing technical leadership for assigned accounts.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Typical guidance: 8–12 years of experience as an Applications Engineer, ASIC Design Engineer, or related role.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on technical enablement, customer adoption, and sales support.

• Develop and implement DFT methodologies, flows, infrastructure, and customer integrations; assist with tool bring-up and debugging.
• Build relationships with customer stakeholders to assess technical and business requirements and map Siemens solutions to those needs.
• Qualify technical viability of leads and collaborate with sales to create and execute technical sales plans.
• Identify and support pilot projects to demonstrate tool value and drive product adoption.
• Share account intelligence, competitor insights, and technical feedback with sales, product teams, and management.
• Provide technical leadership and ongoing support for assigned accounts.
• Perform simulation/verification tasks and diagnosis-driven yield analysis as required.
• Carry out other reasonable duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

Core technical requirements and desirable skills.

• Must-have: Proven Design-for-Test (DFT) experience for ASIC designs.
• Must-have: Digital design experience and RTL coding in Verilog and/or VHDL.
• Must-have: Proficiency with Tcl scripting and general programming concepts.
• Must-have: Simulation and verification expertise; project management experience.
• Must-have: Strong written and verbal communication, presentation, influencing, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
• Must-have: Self-starter able to work independently and communicate effectively at all organizational levels.
• Must-have: Role is subject to U.S. export control (ITAR/EAR); employment contingent on U.S. Person status or obtaining an export license.
• Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with Siemens Tessent DFT products.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with diagnosis-driven yield analysis and familiarity with marketing/sales concepts and business terminology.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) or Computer Science (BSCS) required; Master's degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred.
