Senior Analog / Mixed-Signal IC Design Engineer
Role Summary
On-site senior IC design role on Ethernovia's Mixed-Signal design team based in the Utrecht/Zeist area. Lead the architecture and implementation of analog front-end blocks for advanced CMOS automotive Ethernet products.
Drive designs from specification through test-chip, qualification and production while working with digital, DSP, firmware, system teams and FAEs.
Experience Level
Senior — requires substantial industry experience (see Requirements).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead design and delivery of Analog Front-End blocks (PLLs, ADCs, DACs, PGAs) meeting demanding performance and efficiency targets.
- Own full design cycle: specification, feasibility studies, circuit design, test-chip development, silicon bring-up, characterization, qualification, and production handoff.
- Collaborate with DSP, digital, firmware, system teams, layout, marketing and FAEs to meet system-level requirements.
- Mentor and lead IC design team members; coordinate cross-functional work and design reviews.
- Develop test plans and participate in lab characterization and failure analysis.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- At least 8 years of Analog / Mixed-Signal IC design experience in advanced CMOS nodes.
- Proven experience designing PLLs, ADCs, DACs, PGAs or similar analog blocks.
- Experience leading or managing an IC design team.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; fluent in English.
- Located in Utrecht, The Netherlands or willing to relocate to the Netherlands.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with RTL, Verilog, C++ and Python.
- Experience in Ethernet AFE design or related automotive networking domains.
Education Requirements
MSc or PhD degree in Electrical Engineering (EE).
