Senior Analog Mixed Signal DV Engineer
Texas InstrumentsJob Title
Senior Analog Mixed Signal DV Engineer
Role Summary
Work on verification of mixed-signal custom ICs for mobile/personal electronics within an advanced circuits and power solutions team. The role focuses on mixed-signal verification strategy, model development, testbench/environment development, and cross-functional debugging through tape-out.
Experience Level
Senior level - 3–10 years of relevant experience in Analog Mixed-Signal (AMS) design verification.
Responsibilities
Primary engineering responsibilities focused on verification planning, modelling, environment development, and verification execution.
- Develop coverage-driven verification plans in collaboration with system, application, and design teams.
- Create high-fidelity analog behavioural models (Verilog-A, Verilog-AMS, Wreal/RNM, EENet) for top-level simulation.
- Build and enhance mixed-signal testbenches combining schematics, behavioural models, and RTL.
- Implement real-time analog checkers and post-processing checker strategies for functional correctness.
- Execute RTL and gate-level simulations, run regressions, and track functional coverage through tape-out.
- Collaborate with Digital DV, Analog Design, and Post-Silicon Validation teams to debug complex issues.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and practical experience, plus concise preferred/optional items.
- Must-have: Minimum 3 years hands-on AMS design verification experience; experience with mixed-signal flows combining schematic, behavioural models, and RTL.
- Must-have: Proficiency in analog behavioural modelling using Verilog-AMS, Verilog-A, or Wreal.
- Must-have: Strong command of Cadence Virtuoso/AMS Designer toolsets or equivalent mixed-signal simulation and debug environments.
- Must-have: Clear technical communication and ability to present analysis to stakeholders.
- Preferred: Knowledge of SystemVerilog and UVM for top-level environments.
- Preferred: Scripting for automation and analysis (Python, Perl, Shell); exposure to AI-driven verification methods.
- Preferred: Domain experience in signal processing, PMICs, or high-speed interfaces and experience with silicon debug.
- Preferred: Familiarity with standard serial protocols (I2C, SPI, UART, ASI).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (EE) or Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE).
