Job Title

Senior Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and validate RF and mixed-signal integrated circuits (RFICs) for integration into IPs and SoCs. Work within a cross-functional engineering organization to translate product concepts into transistor-level designs, execute verification plans, and deliver characterized silicon blocks.

Focus areas include RF/transceiver design, transistor-level feasibility, layout guidance for deep sub-micron technology, and RF system characterization for next-generation wireless technologies.

Experience Level

Senior β€” minimum 8 years' experience in analog and mixed-signal design, with significant focus on ADC and DAC development.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, validation, and integration of RF and mixed-signal circuits for SoC/IP projects.

  • Define, design, and develop RFIC blocks and transceivers for integration into IPs and SoCs.
  • Create and execute verification and RF validation test plans.
  • Perform transistor-level feasibility analyses and define floorplans.
  • Provide layout guidance and participate in layout for deep sub-micron technologies.
  • Design new product concepts and prototypes; produce detailed circuit schematics and drawings.
  • Develop and analyze test procedures; ensure designs meet applicable standards and specifications.
  • Apply electromagnetic and communication theory to troubleshoot and optimize RF system performance.
  • Validate RF block characterization and specifications.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for this role.

  • Minimum 8 years' experience in analog/mixed-signal design, with emphasis on ADC and DAC architectures.
  • Experience with low-voltage CMOS RFIC design and transistor-level analog circuit design.
  • Experience with mixed-signal design validation and RF system block characterization.
  • Strong knowledge of layout practices and their impact on circuit performance in deep sub-micron technologies.
  • Ability to perform RF signal-path design and detailed transistor-level designs for transceivers and RFIC blocks.
  • Practical application of electromagnetic theory, communication theory, and RF system analysis.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience in wireless system development (5G/6G) and SoC/IP integration.

Education Requirements

Master's or PhD degree in a relevant field (the posting specifies a Master or PhD). Fields implied include electrical engineering, electronics/RF engineering, physics, or closely related technical disciplines. The posting pairs the degree requirement with a minimum of 8 years' relevant experience.
