Senior Analog Design Engineer

Role Summary

Design and deliver analog, mixed-signal and RF circuit blocks from architecture through layout, prototype test and production support for Silicon Labs' low-power connectivity SoCs. The role works within the analog/mixed-signal/RF design team in Singapore and interfaces with layout, test, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

Deliver block-level analog/mixed-signal and RF designs and support their transition to silicon and production.

• Architect, design, simulate and implement analog/mixed-signal circuit blocks.
• Support RF block design, layout and simulation.
• Provide guidance to layout engineers for sensitive custom layouts.
• Perform lab testing, characterization and prototype debugging.
• Support product definition, test-program development and manufacturing/production issues.
• Develop innovative designs for IP protection (patenting or trade secret).
• Share technical knowledge and collaborate with internal and external partners.

Requirements

Key technical skills and capabilities required for successful performance.

• Experience with CMOS analog/mixed-signal designs (examples include bandgap, LDO, ADC, DAC, PLL, oscillator, transmitter or receiver blocks).
• Practical lab skills for characterization, testing and troubleshooting silicon prototypes.
• Knowledge of ESD and latch-up mechanisms and mitigation techniques.
• Experience with behavioral modeling using Verilog-A and Verilog-AMS.
• Ability to support test-program development and manufacturing ramp.
• Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Nice-to-have: prior experience with RF front-end design and production support for SoCs.

Education Requirements

PhD, Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in microelectronics, electronics engineering, or a closely related field (as listed in the posting).
