Role Summary

Senior analog IC architect and design lead within the Advanced Circuits and Power Solutions business. Responsible for end-to-end analog/sub-section design, driving technical decisions, and working directly with a high-volume customer to deliver production silicon.

This role focuses on delivering cost-effective, high-quality custom IC solutions by collaborating across process, packaging, layout, verification, validation, test, and systems teams.

Experience Level

Senior - approximately 12+ years of relevant analog IC design experience as listed in the posting.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, architecture, design, and cross-functional collaboration to take custom analog ICs from definition through production.

• Review and sign off on designs developed within the team and across TI.
• Represent TI technically in customer reviews and architecture discussions.
• Define and drive technical roadmap and industry best practices.
• Act as analog chip / IP architect with ownership from specification to release and manufacturing.
• Lead and participate in design, simulation, and silicon evaluation to meet technical objectives.
• Provide design guidance and mentorship to team members; participate in hiring and personnel development.
• Coordinate with physical designers to monitor IC layout progress and address layout-related tradeoffs.
• Collaborate with verification, system, validation, product engineering, and test teams to enable transfer to production.
• Interface with field teams and customers to understand system requirements and provide technical support.

• Must-have: ~12+ years of relevant analog/custom IC design experience with ownership of complex design tasks and delivery on schedule.
• Must-have: Proven ability to act as an architect for analog blocks or sub-sections and to lead technical execution across teams.
• Must-have: Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; experience interacting with customers and cross-functional teams.
• Must-have: Experience coordinating silicon evaluation, verification collaboration, and transfer to production.
• Nice-to-have: Hands-on experience with Cadence toolset (Spectre, AMS), Simplis, MATLAB and advanced simulation techniques (Monte Carlo, worst-case analysis).
• Nice-to-have: Experience with physical layout management, post-layout parasitic extraction, and design-for-manufacturing considerations.
• Nice-to-have: Background in power IC device physics, system-level partitioning, and architectural tradeoff analysis.

Education Requirements

Master's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (explicitly stated in the posting).
